Political strategist and convenor of Jan Suraj, Prashant Kishor, is set to launch his political party. The official launch will take place on October 2nd. In a conversation with Aaj Tak, Prashant Kishor revealed that Jan Suraj will form the government with a full majority in Bihar by 2025. He said, 'If you meet us three months before the election, it will be clear. Three months before the election, it will be evident that Jan Suraj is winning.' Regarding the party name, he mentioned that the name approved by the Election Commission will be adopted.
When asked if a party that is yet to be formed can win the 2025 elections, Prashant Kishor responded, 'In 2015, when I claimed that JD(U) and Nitish Kumar would win, people doubted due to the BJP's wave. But we made it happen. Similarly, we can achieve victory for Jan Suraj.' He added, 'People take us seriously when we support someone, and that’s exactly what we are doing.'

Who will be the party's chairman?
Prashant Kishor shared that the process of drafting the party's constitution is currently underway. He mentioned that after a two-year march, forming the party was the plan, but people suggested forming it midway. Prashant Kishor clarified that he will not be the leader of the party. He cited examples from other political parties where founders often become the main leaders.
Prashant Kishor emphasized that while he will be a member of the party, he will not lead it. He added that the structure, constitution, and leadership of the party will be decided on October 2nd, and the announcement will be made then. The convenor of Jan Suraj emphasized that those who are the most backward or marginalized should be brought forward and given opportunities. He stated that this is what will set their party apart from others.
Claim of having one crore members
Prashant Kishor disclosed that details about the party will be announced on October 2nd. He reiterated that he will not lead the party. He highlighted that the unique aspect of this party is that it is being formed by the people of Bihar. He claimed that the party’s inception will commence with one crore members, adding that a significant number of people have joined their movement during the two-year march. The leadership of this group will be elected on an open platform.

Prashant Kishor also stated that unlike current practices where party leaders select candidates, the candidates in this new party will be selected by the people who form the party. He questioned whether any party other than Congress, BJP, and the Communist Party even has a constitution.
