Several beauties from the television industry have found new horizons in Bhojpuri cinema after their TV careers. Powered by hard work and talent, they have made big names for themselves in the Bhojpuri scene. Joining their ranks is none other than TV actress Rati Pandey, all set for her Bhojpuri debut with the movie 'Rand De Basanti' starring alongside Khesari Lal Yadav. Let's discover why she's decided to make the switch from television to Bhojpuri cinema.

From Small Screen to Silver Screen: Rati's Journey

Rati Pandey has been a well-loved face on the small screen, cherished for roles in 'Miley Jab Hum Tum' and 'Hitler Didi'. There was a time when she was thriving on TV, but in recent years, significant roles seem to have eluded her. After years in serials, she took a decisive turn towards Bhojpuri cinema.

In a recent interview, Rati discussed her Bhojpuri cinema debut. 'I was bored after years on TV; I craved something new,' she said in the Pinkvilla interview. 'During 'Hitler Didi,' I was enjoying my career's golden period. However, post that, my career saw a downturn. Sometimes I thought, maybe I should have accepted projects for less money. I'm grateful for every setback as I believe everything happens for good.

When Web Series Roles Were Unattainable

Rati shares that after each TV serial, she took a long break. She didn't want to limit herself to television alone, so she tried for web shows. However, she faced discrimination there too. She mentions a web series audition she attended where makers rejected her, stating she was a 'TV actress' and could only get minor roles, not lead ones.

It was this rejection that prompted Rati to consider trying her luck in Bhojpuri films. She's thrilled to have Khesari Lal Yadav as a co-star in her first Bhojpuri film offer. Now it remains to be seen whether Rati will carve out her niche among talents like Amrapali Dubey, Akshara Singh, and Kajal Raghwani in the Bhojpuri industry.
