Former IAS officer Pooja Khedkar’s mother, Manorama Dilip Khedkar, was released from Yerwada Jail on Saturday. She had been granted bail by a Pune court on Friday. Manorama Khedkar was seen hiding her face from cameras. Her relatives came to pick her up and took her away discreetly.
The charges stemmed from an incident in Mulshi where Manorama was accused of threatening and attempting to kill farmers by showing them a pistol. She was initially sent to judicial custody for 14 days but was granted bail 14 days early, resulting in her release today. Her relatives were present to receive her.
