Mayawati has removed her nephew Akash Anand from his positions as Bahujan Samaj Party's national coordinator and her successor. Mayawati took to social platform X to share her decision, writing, 'It is known that BSP is not just a party; it is also a movement for the self-respect, dignity, and social change heralded by Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, to which Kanshi Ram Ji and I have dedicated our lives, and we are preparing the new generation to continue this legacy.'
She explained, 'As part of this succession, along with promoting others within the party, Akash Anand was declared national coordinator and my successor. However, for the broader benefit of the party and the movement, until he attains full maturity, we're detaching him from these critical responsibilities.'
