Following the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, which claimed 26 tourists' lives, India has begun to tighten its grip on Pakistan. Following the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, India has halted imports from Pakistan and imposed a ban on ships bearing the Pakistani flag from docking at Indian ports. Amid rising speculations over India's potential retaliation and the possibility of war between the neighboring countries, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, a Pakistani politician, was asked how he would respond in this situation.

When a journalist asked Marwat, a member of Pakistan’s National Assembly, if he would fight if a war broke out between India and Pakistan, he simply replied, 'If war breaks out, I will move to England.' This response has quickly gone viral on social media, with netizens saying that even Pakistani politicians have no faith in their military. In the same video, a journalist asked Sher Afzal Khan Marwat where Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi should exercise restraint to defuse the tension between the two countries. In reply, Marwat quipped, 'Is Modi my maternal uncle's son who will back down just because I say so?'

In new measures against Pakistan, India has banned imports, mail, and parcels and has prohibited Pakistani ships from docking at all Indian ports. Previously, India suspended the 1960 Indus Water Treaty and canceled all short-term visas issued to Pakistani citizens, requiring them to return by April 29. In retaliation, Pakistan announced the suspension of the Shimla Agreement and closed its airspace for Indian flights. India has also closed its airspace for Pakistan.
