In an interview with news agency ANI, Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned opposition parties and their leaders for rejecting the invitation to the Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, citing attempts to please a certain voter base. 'The opposition leaders have declined the invitation to the Ram Temple initiation ceremony to appease specific voter banks. Meanwhile, I was contemplating how to prepare myself for the ceremony,' remarked Modi, who was the chief host of the event held on January 22, 2024.

Addressing remarks against Sanatan principles by DMK leaders, PM Modi questioned why the Congress party feels compelled to align with those who spew venom against Sanatan Dharm. 'Congress, once associated with Mahatma Gandhi and indubitably represented by Indira Gandhi, who openly adorned a Rudraksha necklace, must pay homage to such traditions. It raises concern about the Congress' necessity to associate with vehemently anti-Sanatan elements, and indicates a worrying distortion in its ideology,' said Modi.

'DMK was born with inherent disdain for Sanatan Dharm',

says PM Modi

In response to a statement made by Udhayanidhi Stalin, Modi mentioned that DMK's very inception might have been rooted in hatred towards Sanatan Dharm. 'But the question isn't about them; it's about parties like Congress. Have they lost their foundational character? It’s alarming that the party feels compelled to sit with Sanatan adversaries,' said Modi, referring to Udhayanidhi Stalin's previous year's remarks equating Sanatan Dharm to diseases like dengue and malaria, suggesting it should be eradicated permanently.

K. Annamalai is a Young and Dynamic Leader:

PM Modi

Discussing Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai, Modi hailed him as a young and dynamic leader, emphasizing that the BJP gives opportunities to all capable individuals, contrasting it with opposition parties' nepotistic politics. 'The BJP's culture directly opposes dynastic politics, focused solely around one family,' he said. Modi recognized Annamalai as a rising star among Tamil Nadu’s youth and noted that his travels in the state were met with positive responses, predicting that BJP would perform notably well in the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections, where Annamalai is contesting from the Coimbatore constituency.

'India is a bouquet with diverse flowers blooming,'

says PM Modi

Addressing allegations by the Congress party that BJP opposes diversity, Modi described India as a 'land of multiple treasures'—a nation of diversities. 'To perceive India as a conglomerate of separate units demonstrates a lack of understanding of India's essence. Which part of India has the most villages named after Lord Rama? Tamil Nadu. You can’t label it a separate entity. There's diversity. A person from Nagaland cannot be identical to someone from Punjab, and neither can a Kashmiri be likened to a Gujarati. Diversity is our strength; we should celebrate it. India is like a bouquet, flourishing with myriad flowers. This spirit is what we must maintain.'
