An Air India Express flight from Delhi to Indore faced technical difficulties, necessitating an emergency landing. To indicate the situation, the pilot issued a 'PAN-PAN' signal. The aircraft safely landed at Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport in Indore, with just a 20-minute delay, carrying a total of 161 passengers.

V.M. Seth, the director of Indore Airport, informed a news agency, "All precautions were taken after a technical issue was reported in one of the engines of the Air India Express flight from Delhi to Indore on Friday morning. The plane landed at Indore Airport at 9:55 AM, instead of its scheduled arrival at 9:35 AM."

The airport director confirmed that all 161 passengers and crew members onboard were completely safe. Seth explained that the pilot communicated the 'PAN-PAN' signal to Air Traffic Control (ATC), prompting standard operating procedures, which involved organizing fire brigade and ambulance services at the airport.

It's noteworthy that 'PAN-PAN' is an internationally recognized signal used in maritime and aviation radio communications to indicate an urgent situation requiring immediate assistance, although it's non-lethal. Through this signal, the crew promptly requested help from ATC and ground services.
