Pakistan expressed unequivocally that Iran has not requested any military assistance from Pakistan in battling against Israel. Shafqat Ali Khan, the spokesperson for Pakistan's Foreign Ministry, affirmed on Thursday that Pakistan extends complete moral backing to Iran and sternly condemns the Israeli assaults. He highlighted Iran's entitlement to take steps for its protection, a right enshrined in the United Nations Charter.

According to the news agency PTI, the spokesperson clarified that Iran has not sought any assistance from Pakistan for refugees or military support. He also mentioned that a consortium of 21 Muslim countries has collectively stated that Israel's actions breach international law and United Nations regulations.

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar recently engaged in a phone conversation with the foreign ministers of Iran, Turkey, Egypt, UAE, and Britain, expressing concerns over the escalating tensions in the region. He warned that Israel's actions may pose a significant threat not only to Iran but to the entire region.

Shafqat Ali Khan further remarked that targeting Iran’s nuclear sites violates the standards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other international laws. It was reported that evacuation operations for Pakistani citizens in Iran are ongoing, with around 3000 citizens safely repatriated so far.

For context, Iran and Israel have been engaged in conflict for the past seven days. On the seventh day, Iran caused severe disruption in Israel, with a notable incident being the strike on Be'er Sheva's Soroka Hospital. This attack, executed with Iranian missiles, wrought extensive devastation, resulting in chaos within the hospital as people panicked and desperately sought safety.
