India and Pakistan have announced a ceasefire, agreeing to reduce border tensions. However, mere hours after the agreement, Pakistan violated the ceasefire. On Saturday night, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked China, Donald Trump, and Gulf countries for their roles in the ceasefire.

What did Pakistan's Prime Minister say?

Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif branded the enemy's actions disgraceful, praising the military's formidable response. He accused India of using the Pehalgam attack as a pretext to impose war and offered an impartial investigation into India's unfounded accusations.

Attacks launched with drones and missiles

Sharif alleged that India targeted Pakistani civilians with drone and missile attacks, testing the nation's patience by attacking residential areas. He claimed that the Indian army attempted to target Pakistani military camps and storage locations unsuccessfully.

Shehbaz claimed Pakistan's air force demolished Indian military bases and boasted of downing a Rafale jet.

Expressing gratitude for the ceasefire

Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude to China, Donald Trump, and Gulf nations for the ceasefire. He expressed appreciation to US President Donald Trump for his crucial role. Additionally, he thanked Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Turkey, and Qatar for their support.

A special thank you to China

Praising China as a reliable ally, Sharif stated that his speech would be incomplete without mentioning China. He extended heartfelt thanks to Chinese President Xi Jinping, acknowledging China's steadfast support for over five decades during crises.
