Grand Plans to Tackle Emergencies
Under the Ministry of Home Affairs' directive, on May 7, emergency mock drills will be conducted at 259 locations across the country, assessing emergency response readiness. Special focus will be on 20 locations across Jammu and Kashmir and border regions, with the Union Home Secretary holding meetings with states and union territories. Meanwhile, a mission to teach Pakistan a lesson has commenced; vigilance at the border has been increased, and water supply cuts have exacerbated Pakistan's water crisis.
Navy Ready for Action
Preparations of the army, navy, and air force are in full swing. On Tuesday, the DRDO and Indian Navy successfully tested the Multi Influence Ground Mine (MIGM) in the Bay of Bengal. This advanced marine mine can detect various signals emitted by enemy warships and submarines using multiple sensors to ascertain if they pose a threat, then detonates at the right moment. The test was fully successful, and this mine is ready to join the navy, enhancing the security of India's vast coastline.
