In response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India launched Operation Sindur against Pakistan, dismantling several military and terrorist outposts.
India Today has received information from sources about the extent of the damage suffered by Pakistan during the four-day conflict.
Sources involved in the operation told India Today that, based on technical analysis, India inflicted substantial damage on Pakistan from the night of May 6-7 until May 10.
In this assault, six PAF fighter jets, two AWACS, one C-130 transport aircraft, 30 missiles, UAVs, and UCAVs were destroyed. The Pakistani forces suffered significant losses due to India's air defense systems and cruise missile strikes.
Airborne Systems Devastated by Long-Range 'Sudharshan' Strike
According to sources, these targets were hit with the help of Sudharshan air-launched cruise missiles and surface-to-air missiles. The Sudharshan missile precisely struck from a long distance of 300 kilometers.
Major Strike at Bholari Airbase
In a strike on Pakistan's Bholari Airbase, a Swedish AEW&CS aircraft (Airborne Early Warning and Control System) was also destroyed. According to sources, several fighter jets were present at the airbase. However, debris was extracted by Pakistan, so the official ground damage to the jets is yet to be confirmed.
Intercepting Drones and Missiles
Indian defense systems intercepted and destroyed more than ten UCAVs within Pakistan's airspace.
Targeting PAF's C-130
India used only air-launched cruise missiles against Pakistan. The surface-to-surface BrahMos missile was not deployed. The Pakistani C-130 aircraft was demolished in a drone assault by the IAF.
Rafale and Su-30's Large-Scale Actions
The Rafale and Su-30 strikes destroyed several medium-altitude long-endurance Chinese drones of the 'Wing Loong' series.
Ongoing Data Analysis
The IAF is still conducting technical analyses of the data gathered during the entire conflict.
It is worth noting that after facing severe setbacks from India on all fronts, Pakistan requested a ceasefire. India agreed to the ceasefire but sternly warned Pakistan that further hostile actions would be met with even more severe retaliations.
