India undertook Operation Sindoor against terrorist hubs in Pakistan, which left Pakistan agitated. In retaliation, Pakistan targeted 15 Indian cities, but the Indian Air Force's S-400 air defense system successfully thwarted each assault. India's response caused significant damage in major Pakistani cities such as Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi.

Drone Assault on Karachi

A Karachi resident reported a drone crashing onto a rooftop around 10 AM, resulting in total destruction of the roof and leaving a crater. Following this incident, power was cut off in Karachi due to damage to electrical lines, causing widespread chaos. Images from Karachi depict a home completely wrecked, with interior contents also damaged.

Similar scenes have emerged from Lahore where several ambulances were seen rushing through streets. Additionally, police and fire brigade units were active, and emergency sirens were audible. Several buildings in Lahore sustained significant damage from drone attacks. Post India’s retaliatory strikes, there was visible panic in the city.

India's counteraction also affected the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. A Pakistan Super League (PSL) match was scheduled there between Peshawar and Karachi's teams. As a result, remaining PSL matches in Rawalpindi were shifted to Karachi. This decision was made during an emergency meeting of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Efforts to Target 15 Indian Cities

Pakistan attempted attacks on Indian cities including Avantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bathinda, Chandigarh, Nall, Phalodi, Uttar Lai, and Bhuj. In response, the Indian Army deployed the S-400 air defense system on Wednesday night to nullify these attacks.

Under Operation Sindoor, India's focused military action targeted only terrorist sites. In retaliation, Pakistan tried attacking 15 Indian cities, prompting India to dismantle Pakistani air defense systems in major cities like Lahore through drone strikes.

Furthermore, India mentioned that Pakistan continues to violate the Line of Control (LoC) ceasefire, resulting in the loss of 16 innocent lives, including women and children. Consequently, India responded to Pakistan with equal force against such provocations and will continue to do so if further provoked.
