Senior Maharashtra Congress MLA Vijay Wadettiwar has again made controversial remarks concerning Operation Sindoor. During a media interaction in Nagpur, he emphasized that the government should maintain transparency and provide the public with accurate information regarding the operation.
Wadettiwar questioned the propriety of asking whether the conflict was minor or major, what losses were incurred, and if decisions were made under American influence. He accused that during Operation Sindoor, drones manufactured in China, priced between 5,000 to 15,000 rupees, were deployed, which had little significant impact.
He asserted that India launched a 1.5 million rupee missile to destroy these drones, demanding the government provide a clear explanation. He also mentioned that even Rafale jets were employed.
This isn't the first occurrence where Vijay Wadettiwar questioned the aims and impacts of Operation Sindoor. He previously raised issues questioning whether terrorists have the time to ask about someone's religion. His statements have fueled discussions in political circles.
Wadettiwar believes the public has the right to know the decisions made by the government, the expenditure incurred, and the results of the campaign. He urges the central government to furnish clear responses.
