During Chhattisgarh's Operation Prahaar, the infamous Naxalite Hidma, carrying a 2.5 million rupee bounty, was wounded by gunfire. Being a member of the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee and a military unit commander, his injury caused panic among the Naxal forces. Reports suggest that multiple Naxalites were also injured in the operation, which successfully neutralized around 24 insurgents.

Bastar Inspector General Vivekanand Sinha revealed that during the intense 56-hour Operation Prahaar, the Maoists managed to retrieve the bodies and the injured, including the feared Hidma. The news of his injury has surprised the Maoists. It is reported that Hidma was recently involved in the disappearance of a Canadian citizen in Bastar, a case that gained nationwide attention. However, the Canadian was eventually released.

Hidma controls Bastar, infamously known as the foundation of Naxalite violence across the country. His full name is Madvi Hidma, also known as Idamul Podiyam Bhima, with his father's name being Podiyam Soma, also known as Duggavade, and his mother's name as Podiyama Bhime. Originating from Polodi village in Jagargunda area of Sukma, Hidma holds a respectable reputation among Maoists as a skilled guerilla warrior.

Due to his prowess, Hidma was appointed as the commander of the Battalion 1 of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA), under which three units operate. Under his command, this battalion is active in Sukma and Bijapur regions. Hidma also holds membership in the Naxals’ Dandakaranya Zonal Committee (DKSZC) and has a family, with two marriages under his belt – his first wife being Badeshetti, and the second, Raje also known as Rajakka, is part of his battalion.

Hidma has three brothers. Two of them, Madvi Deva and Madvi Dulla, are involved in farming in the village, while the third, Madvi Nanda, remains in the village as an educator for the Naxalite movement. His sister Bhime resides in Dornapal. Dara Kosa, a cousin who once headed several Naxal operations, surrendered, and was speculated to be hidma's co-conspirator in the recent assault on March 11th in Sukma's Bhejji area.

This Naxal attack resulted in the martyrdom of 12 CRPF personnel. Hidma was also involved in the 2013 Jhiriam Valley brutal attack on the Congress leaders' convoy, which saw the killing of 30 individuals, including Congress leaders. Likewise, he was credited with orchestrating the 2010 massacre near Chintalnar in Tadmetla, leading to the demise of 76 CRPF jawans. News of Hidma’s significant injury has thus stirred a sensation.
