On June 13, Israel orchestrated a swift and strategic blitz under Operation Rising Lion, aimed at Iran's nuclear project, ballistic missile launchers, air defense systems, and nuclear scientists. Iran was left reeling, unable to swiftly recover from the devastation.

This mission was conducted based on long-standing plans with precise execution. Preparations involved another covert operation inside Iran, named Operation Narnia.

In a blink, top IRGC officers and nuclear scientists were taken out

On the pivotal day, June 13, Israel commenced Operation Rising Lion against Iran. This marked a significant offensive, targeting high-ranking members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and leading figures in Iran's nuclear agenda. Thanks to Operation Narnia, the IDF swiftly neutralized all targets even in their sleep.

The Essence of Operation Narnia

Why did Israel code-name this strike 'Narnia'? It echoes its seemingly unthinkable nature. According to reports by the Jerusalem Post, direct hits on nine nuclear scientists were enabled by intelligence gathered through the ongoing Operation Narnia, pinpointing scientists in their homes while asleep.

Preparation for Op Narnia Commenced Long Ago

A senior IDF official disclosed details about the operation's planning phase, indicating that around 120 personnel from the intelligence agency and air force assembled in Unit 8200 for strategic discussions. As January approached, pressures mounted owing to a looming deadline, necessitating solutions for tackling air defense systems.

Building a Target Bank Inside Iran

The officer revealed efforts from last year to construct a 'target bank.' The breakthrough came when a key intelligence base and air force base in Iran were identified. However, the target bank still lacked sufficient entries. Various teams were tasked with unique missions: eliminating nuclear scientists, dismantling command centers, and neutralizing radar systems. Only after achieving these milestones did Operation Rising Lion launch.

Execution of Operation Narnia

During Operation Narnia, Israeli intelligence meticulously classified Iranian nuclear scientists into four tiers of priority. Those with the most significant military expertise occupied the highest ranks. A 'hit list' was compiled with the most dangerous scientists topping it. Detailed intelligence was gathered for each, leading to their systematic targeting.

Precision and Intelligence Command Led to Target Elimination

The successful assault on nuclear scientists was solely attributable to the accuracy of intelligence gathered during Operation Narnia. Precision attacks were executed following specific commands under this operation. The scientists and experts who were eliminated were pivotal figures in Iran’s nuclear advancements, possessing decades of experience, many directly succeeding Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, regarded by many as the forefather of Iran’s nuclear program.

The Senior Nuclear Scientists Eliminated During the Operation:

Fereydun Abbasi - Expert in Nuclear Engineering Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi - Specialist in Physics Akbar Matlali Zadeh - Chemical Engineering Specialist Saeed Berazi - Materials Engineering Specialist Amir Hasan Fakihi - Physics Specialist Abd Al-Hamid Minushahr - Reactor Physics Specialist Mansoor Asgari - Physics Specialist Ahmad Reza Davalparki Daryani - Nuclear Engineering Specialist Ali Bakhari Katheremi - Mechanical Expert
