An intensive 18-hour vigil took place at various locations associated with Ravindra Singh Yadav, former Special Duty Officer in UP's Gautam Buddh Nagar district. From his opulent Noida residence alone, vigilance officers unearthed precious jewels worth 6 million INR and cash amounting to 250,000 INR. On Saturday, the vigilance team raided his Noida home and a school in Etawah, while Ravindra Yadav is under suspension.
This operation stemmed from a probe into disproportionate assets accumulated by Ravindra Yadav. The inquiry concluded with a revealing report sent to the authorities, which prompted the Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Department to file an FIR under the Anti-Corruption Act against him.
Following a court-issued search warrant, the UP Vigilance Department's Meerut sector teams swooped down on December 14, targeting Ravindra Yadav’s Noida residence and Etawah school. During the search, officers recovered over 6 million INR worth of jewelry and 250,000 INR in cash from his posh three-story complex in Noida's Sector-47. Today, Ravindra Yadav’s lavish residence stands with an approximate value of 160 million INR, excluding furniture and electronics valued at roughly 3.7 million INR.
Vigilance teams also obtained vital documents, including passports, revealing his family's international travels. They are currently gathering data on two four-wheeled vehicles (Innova and Kwid) linked with him. Furthermore, detailed examination continues over six bank accounts, various policies, and investment-related papers found during the search.
Allegations also unfold that Ravindra Yadav indulged in acquiring around a dozen land properties, the documents for which are now in the vigilance team's possession, leading to further probes. At his Noida residence, crucial papers concerning the registration of the Aristotle World School, located in Malajni, Chaudhary Jaswantnagar, Etawah, were found. This educational institution is valued at nearly 150 million INR and is presided over by Nikhil Yadav, Ravindra's son. Boasting centralized air conditioning, it houses equipment and furniture worth approximately 20 million INR, with 10 school buses in operation. Ravindra Singh Yadav allegedly misused his position as a senior officer in Noida Authority in 2007 to unlawfully reassign a government plot measuring 9,712 square meters to a private housing society, which was under CBI scrutiny.
