The violence that erupted in Haryana's Mewat-Nuh area has claimed the lives of six people. One side is blaming the Gorakshak, Bittu Bajrangi, for the violence. Bittu Bajrangi participated in the Braj Mandal Yatra in Nuh on Monday. In an interview with Aaj Tak, Bittu expressed his perspective. During the conversation, Bittu explained how violence spread in Nuh. When asked during the Braj Mandal Yatra why some individuals carried swords, he stated those swords were for worship purposes.

In his conversation with Aaj Tak, Bittu Bajrangi stated, like every year, this year too, we organized a procession. The procession was planned to go to the Nalhar Mahadev Temple in Nuh and from there to other areas. Many women, children, and elderly people from the district participated. We offered prayers at the temple, engaged in kirtans, and as we began our journey back, there was only one route out. Cars started to move back, and after covering a mere 500 meters, we noticed rioters setting cars on fire.

Bittu Bajrangi mentioned seeing a small mosque on the side of the road with about 200-250 people armed and firing in the open.

Referring to the May 4th violence in Manipur, where Kuki women were paraded naked, Bittu Bajrangi claimed that he was frightened for the women and children on the yatra.

Bajrangi stated that as soon as firing began from the other side, they decided to take a U-turn and return to the temple, assuming it would be safer. He wasn't scared for himself but deeply concerned for the women and children, not wanting an incident like in Manipur. Their mothers' safety was paramount.

When asked about the viral video showing travelers armed on social media, Bajrangi responded, "Some people had weapons, but they were all licensed. The swords we carry are meant for worship, weddings, and rituals; they are not used for murders."

Asked about his viral video, Bajrangi mentioned that he only responded to those who had threatened him. He had previously shared video clips where he was seen in saffron attire, with the song "Goli Pe Goli Challengi, Bap Tou Bap Rahega" playing.

Bajrangi demanded bulldozer action against the rioters. He stated that, like the Yogi government, actions with bulldozers should be taken against the rioters. They should be countered. Bittu Bajrangi elaborated, "They killed our officers, they killed the devotees of Ram. What was their fault? Should we not take the name of Lord Ram in this country? We embarked on a peaceful journey with our women and children."
