Fire erupted on Air India's flight AI 315, arriving from Hong Kong to Delhi, shortly after landing at the Delhi airport. The aircraft was parked at the airport gate, and passengers were disembarking when the incident occurred, leading to panic among the travelers.

An Air India spokesperson explained that on 22 July 2025, flight AI 315 from Hong Kong to Delhi experienced a fire in the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) immediately after landing and parking at the gate.

The spokesperson added that passengers were in the process of disembarking when the APU automatically shut down as per system design, effectively controlling the situation swiftly. While the aircraft sustained some damage, all passengers and crew members disembarked safely and remained unharmed.
