NEET UG 2024 Results Unveiled:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2024. Those who appeared for the undergraduate medical course entrance exam can now check and download their NEET UG Scorecard 2024 at the official NTA NEET websites exam.nta.ac.in/NEET or neet.ntaonline.in. The NTA has also declared the names of candidates who secured top All India Rank (NEIT AIR), category-wise cut-offs, and percentile ranks. This year, 56.4% of candidates have passed the NEET UG examination.

67 Candidates Score 99.997 Percentile

In a remarkable outcome released on Tuesday by NTA, 67 candidates have secured the top rank. A senior official at NTA said, "With an identical score of 99.997129 percentile, these candidates share the leading All India Rank. The agency noted that among the top rankers in NEET are 14 girls.

Rajasthan Toppers Lead the Way

The majority of the top-ranking candidates hail from Rajasthan. Of the 67 toppers, the highest number - 11 - come from Rajasthan, followed by 8 from Tamil Nadu and 7 from Maharashtra.

Tie-Breaking Formula Determines Merit List

The merit list is prepared using a tie-breaking formula, giving priority to candidates with higher scores or percentages in Biology, followed by Chemistry and Physics," the official explained. "Following that, candidates with a lower ratio of incorrect to correct responses across all subjects are considered, with preference given in the order of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

How to Check NEET Scorecard

Step 1: Visit the official NTA NEET website at nta.ac.in.Step 2: Click on the NEET 2024 Result link available on the homepage at Exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.Step 3: Enter your login details here and click submit.Step 4: Your scorecard will be displayed on the screen.Step 5: Review the scorecard and download the page, making sure to check your photograph and barcode.

Note that for the approximately 24 lakh candidates, the NEET UG entrance exam was held on May 5, 2024. The provisional answer key was released on May 29, and the objection window was closed on June 1, 2024. The final answer key was issued on June 3, 2024, after the resolution of objections received by the experts.
