NEET UG Result 2024:

Following a Supreme Court directive, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released city and center-wise marks for NEET candidates. Applicants can check their marks on the official NTA NEET UG website at https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/. To check, click on the 'NEET (UG) RESULT 2024 CITY/CENTRE WISE' link on the homepage. According to the released scores, 181 candidates at the controversial Parvadi Godhra center of Jay Jalararam School have qualified the NEET exam.

The spotlight of the NEET UG exam irregularity case has been on the Jay Jalararam School, Parvadi Godhra. In connection with the cheating case, the Central Investigation Agency (CBI) has arrested five individuals, including school principal Purushottam Sharma and teacher Tushar Bhatt. The police revealed that physics teacher Tushar Bhatt, who was appointed as the deputy superintendent at the examination center, was involved. He instructed certain students to solve as much of the paper as they were able and to leave the rest, which he would then complete.

What happened at Jay Jalararam School's examination center in Parvadi Godhra?

After allegations of cheating in Godhra, the Gujarat Police included the names of Tushar Bhatt, Roy, Purushottam Sharma, educational counselor Vibhor Anand, and school teacher-associated intermediary Arif Vohra in the investigation. The CBI obtained custody for all the suspects except Roy. Tushar Bhatt admitted to demanding 10 lakh rupees from each candidate for solving papers, and during the search, 7 lakh rupees in cash were found in his vehicle. His mobile phone contained a list of 16 candidates with their names, roll numbers, and examination centers dated May 5th.

The center's code is 220502. According to NTA data, a total of 648 candidates appeared for the NEET UG 2024 exam for undergraduate medical courses at this center on May 5th, out of which 181* students qualified. This year, the passing marks for the general category are 164 points.

The top score at this exam center was 600 out of 720 points, earned by only one student, while 7 students scored 500 or more points. The average marks at this center were around 200, with the lowest being -12. Three students' results were noted as -3, -5, and -12.
