NCP leader Sharad Pawar has lauded the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its dedicated volunteers. Pawar has remarked that the recent massive victory of BJP in the Maharashtra Assembly elections is also attributable to the RSS. The efforts and diligence of RSS workers played a significant role in this electoral victory.
Addressing party workers in Mumbai, Pawar recalled the resurgence of the Congress party and highlighted the victories in the Maharashtra Assembly elections of 1962 and 1977.
'Party Became Complacent Post-Lok Sabha Elections'
Sharad Pawar believes that after winning the Lok Sabha elections, the NCP became entirely complacent, whereas the ruling parties (Mahagathbandhan) continued to work tirelessly to win elections and announced several popular schemes. Pawar mentioned that opposition parties took bold decisions and worked relentlessly during the elections. Additionally, Pawar stated that Hindutva unity and RSS worked vigilantly during the Maharashtra elections and played a crucial role in securing BJP's electoral win.
'RSS has Dedicated Volunteers'
While addressing a gathering, Sharad Pawar mentioned that RSS has dedicated volunteers who do not deviate from their path at any cost. During this period, Pawar also praised the efforts of the RSS. He further said that the establishment of 17 new corporations for the Other Backward Classes (OBC) proved effective for BJP in gathering support.
50% Seats Reserved for Women
To empower women, Sharad Pawar announced that 50% of the seats in the local body elections would be allocated to women from ordinary backgrounds. Pawar stated that the party is engaged in preparations for the local body elections. He further mentioned that it is crucial to encourage workers at the grassroots level while also assigning them responsibilities at the local, state, and national levels.
Pawar's praise for RSS has sparked interest as it signifies a significant shift, and now the public is closely watching NCP's future strategies as the party aims to regain momentum against BJP's dominance.
