The leader of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and former Minister of the Bihar government, Mukesh Sahni, is grieving the brutal murder of his father, Jeetan Sahni. The incident, where the elderly man was reportedly killed at home with a sharp weapon, has sent ripples of shock throughout the local community.

Darbhanga's Senior Superintendent of Police, Jagunath Reddy, confirmed the shocking find of Jeetan Sahni's mutilated body within the home. The police quickly arrived at the scene and launched a thorough investigation. Jeetan Sahni's residence is located in the bustling Supaul Bazaar of Darbhanga's Afzala Panchayat.

According to reports, Jeetan Sahni met his untimely end at his own residence with indications of a violent struggle evident in the room where his body was found, splattered with blood. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been assembled under the leadership of the Darbhanga Rural SP to probe deeper into the crime.

Mukesh Sahni, currently in Mumbai, is making hasty arrangements to return to Patna upon receiving this heart-wrenching news of his father's murder.

A Possible Robbery Gone Wrong?

Jeetan Sahni, who lived alone following the death of his wife years prior, was known to reside with two to three household staff and a driver. Preliminary police investigations suggest that intruders, presumably with intentions to rob, were confronted by Jeetan, which may have instigated the fatal attack.

Manish Chandra Choudhary, the SDPO of Biraul, remarked that upon receiving the morning's grim update, the initial assessment pointed towards burglary. The confrontation, unfortunately, resulted in the tragic loss of Jeetan Sahni's life.

The RJD spokesperson, Mrityunjay Tiwari, described the incident as extremely saddening and indicative of a larger issue of rampant crime in Bihar, highlighting a dire need for increased security measures.

On the other hand, JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar and BJP state spokesperson Neeraj also pledged that the guilty would be found and face punishment, regardless of where they might be hiding, extending their condolences to Mukesh Sahni's family.
