A wave of shock hit Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday when a 27-year-old woman's corpse was found in a car. She had been shot, and a bullet wound was evident on her body. The police suspect it might be a case of honor killing.

The incident occurred in the Rasoolpur village of Muzaffarnagar district's Khatauli region. The Superintendent of Police (City), Satyanarayan Prajapat, informed PTI about the murder, revealing that the woman was identified as Himanshi. Her bullet-ridden body was discovered in an abandoned car.

According to SP Satyanarayan Prajapat, after the death of her father, Himanshi lived with her mother at her uncle's home. During the investigation, the police learned from villagers that Himanshi was in a relationship with a young man identified as 28-year-old Vineet Kumar.

However, her uncle, along with his two sons and other family members, opposed their relationship. SP Satyanarayan Prajapat stated that the girl's body has been sent for post-mortem. The police are investigating the case, but a charge has not yet been filed.
