MP News:
A shocking sight was witnessed in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh. In the village of Sillarpur, hundreds of cow carcasses were found lying in the forest. Some cows are still alive. These cows are located on the reserved forest land, just 500 meters from the Shivpuri-Jhansi highway. Villagers were astonished to see such a large number of dead cows. Where did these cows come from? How did they get here? No one has any clues.
It is suspected that the cows were transported from urban areas in dumpers and dropped in the village at night. Jhansi district in Uttar Pradesh is nearby, so it is suspected that the cows were brought from there.
The Sarpanch of Sillarpur village, Arvind Lodhi, stated that around 400-500 cows are lying at the scene. The administration seems unconcerned, even though they have been informed. However, there is no information about where these cows were brought from.
Important Decisions for the Honor of Cows Soon: CM Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced in a cabinet meeting today that essential decisions will be made soon to honor cows in the state. Dr. Yadav mentioned that during the rainy season, there are often reports of cows getting injured or dying in accidents on major roads and highways. Therefore, it is necessary to create arrangements to ensure that cows are not seen on the roads and that they are housed in cow shelters or safe places.
Additionally, a decision will be made to increase funds and stipends for cow shelters. The best management practices will be enforced to ensure the honor of cows. If a cow dies, there should be proper arrangements for their respectful cremation. The responsibility for this will be determined for village panchayats, municipal councils, and corporations. A necessary budget will be allocated for the cremation or burial of cow remains to ensure they are not disrespected anywhere.
The cabinet members applauded the Chief Minister's announcement. The members also suggested involving social organizations in this cause. The Chief Minister directed the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department to make necessary preparations to ensure these arrangements before the rainy season begins. Animal Husbandry Minister Lakhan Patel stated they would soon invite cow shelter operators for a meeting to gather suggestions.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the Animal Husbandry Department to organize this meeting within this month. He mentioned that mayors of cities, municipal officials, and other public representatives should also be included in this meeting. Topics discussed in the meeting included better operation of cow shelters, controlling the free roaming of cows by their owners, obtaining police cooperation, and securing funds from the central government for infrastructural works related to this matter.
