Chhatarpur DIG Lalit Shakyawar explained that approximately 300-400 people, led by religious leaders Syed Haji Ali and Syed Javed Ali, came to the police station to submit a memorandum, demanding legal action against Ramgiri Maharaj. Many FIRs have already been filed against Ramgiri Maharaj in Maharashtra for his alleged offensive remarks against Prophet Muhammad.

According to DIG Shakyawar, the crowd suddenly became aggressive and began pelting stones for about ten minutes, forcing the police to disperse the protesters by firing tear gas shells.

I have directed senior police officers to identify the culprits promptly and take stringent action to prevent such incidents in the future. Our priority is to maintain peace and harmony in the state."
