The murder of Dularchand Yadav has cast a shadow of tension over the Mokama legislative assembly area. Yadav, a Jansuraj ally and previously among the influential faces of the tal region, has been at the center of serious allegations by his family. The police have filed a case following the family's complaint, implicating Anant Singh, who is contesting the Mokama elections, as a suspect.

Grandson Raviranjan Alleges Anant Singh’s Involvement

In a conversation with Aaj Tak, Dularchand Yadav's grandson, Raviranjan, lamented, 'My grandfather was murdered, and I live in fear for my life too. The police and administration are inactive; we demand justice.'

Raviranjan further stated that his grandfather had been challenging the power of the influential leader Anant Singh democratically. 'We are educated individuals, not those wielding AK-47s. My grandfather always championed the public's voice, yet now the police and administration remain silent, shielding the real culprits,' he added.

Women from Dularchand Yadav’s family have also levied serious charges against the police administration. The family asserts that JDU candidate Anant Singh orchestrated the murder because Yadav supported the Jansuraj Party. They believe he was eliminated for this support.

Tension in Tartarpur Village

Since the incident, a significant police force has been deployed in Tartarpur village. Villagers refused to move the body for five hours. The family alleges that Yadav was first shot in the leg and then crushed by a vehicle.

Meanwhile, Anant Singh's supporters vehemently deny these claims, alleging instead that Jansuraj supporters attacked their convoy first, causing damage to several vehicles. Dularchand Yadav’s assassination in Mokama has not only heightened the political climate but also raised serious concerns about security arrangements ahead of the first phase of the Bihar elections.
