Why did BJP MLA clash with RPF officer before Modi’s visit?

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his parliamentary constituency of Banaras. However, prior to his visit, a video circulating on social media shows a scuffle between a BJP MLA and a Railway Protection Force officer.

Prime Minister Modi is on a two-day visit to Banaras. During this trip, he flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train. Before this event, Saurabh Srivastava, a BJP MLA from the Cantt constituency of Varanasi, went to inspect the preparations at the railway station. At the site, he had an argument with an RPF officer on duty.

The video of the incident has gone viral, highlighting the physical tussle between the two. It is reported that the clash ensued as MLA Srivastava attempted to escort party workers inside the railway station.

As seen in the video, BJP MLA Saurabh Srivastava and the RPF officer are engaged in pushing each other, accompanied by verbal exchanges.

It should be noted that on Saturday, PM Modi signaled the departure of four Vande Bharat trains from Banaras railway station amid enthusiastic cheers.
