One of the crowd favorites, 'Mirzapur,' is about to launch its third season on Amazon Prime in a matter of hours. While audiences are eagerly waiting to witness Guddu Bhaiya's reign once more, the cliffhanger surrounding Kaleen Bhaiya’s fate is also nearing its resolution.
Fans who have recently finished watching 'Panchayat' Season 3 on Amazon Prime are especially on the edge of their seats, as rumors have repeatedly suggested there’s a connection between 'Mirzapur 3' and 'Panchayat 3.' Ali Fazal, who plays Guddu, has hinted at this possibility himself.
The Connection between 'Mirzapur 3' and 'Panchayat 3'
When the public was abuzz asking for the release date of 'Mirzapur 3' back in May, Ali mentioned a connection with 'Panchayat 3.' It all started when a fan asked on social media platform X: 'Is it fine if I haven't watched Panchayat in anticipation for Mirzapur?'

Ali’s response to this set the internet abuzz. He replied, 'Do watch Panchayat, there’s a significant hint about Mirzapur Season 3 hidden there.' This led to rampant speculation on social platforms about a possible cameo for Panchayat's Secretary Ji in Mirzapur 3.
This was not the first time Ali mentioned the intersection of the two series. Recently on Monday, in an interview with A.N.I., Ali confirmed the cameo of Secretary Ji (played by Jitendra Kumar), who will appear in Mirzapur for some paperwork related to Kaleen Bhaiya’s death.

The rest of the cast immediately burst out in admonishments, as this was a detail meant to be kept secret. Nevertheless, it’s unexpected for a leading star to accidentally reveal such a significant spoiler. And now the question arises, does the storyline of 'Mirzapur' really have room for Secretary Ji’s entry? The answer is affirmative.
How Can Secretary Ji Enter 'Mirzapur 3'?
The answer to this riddle lies in the second season of 'Mirzapur.' After Guddu Bhaiya was critically injured at the end of the first season, the second season saw him seeking refuge with the 'Barfi' dealer, Lala (played by Anil George). If you don’t recall Lala, a memorable dialogue with Munna Bhaiya (played by Divyendu Sharma) might jog your memory - 'Great aspirations, my son!' This will certainly remind you of Lala, but do you remember which area he was from? Meanwhile, the storyline includes Sharad Shukla from Jaunpur, Bharat-Shatrughan Tyagi from Siwan, with J.P. Yadav’s chapter unfolding in Lucknow.

The village where Lala’s mansion is located, and where Guddu Bhaiya sets off to establish himself as a don in the region, is named... Ballia. Does that spark anything? Whether it does or doesn't, it’s worth noting that the entire plot of 'Panchayat' is set in Phulera village, depicted to be in Ballia district.
Thus, this district of Ballia forms a shared link between 'Mirzapur 3' and 'Panchayat 3.' Although the production and teams of both shows are distinctly different, if the creators choose to showcase Secretary Ji in 'Mirzapur 3,' the writers could certainly explore this connection. Whether this becomes reality will soon be revealed. 'Mirzapur 3' starts streaming on Amazon Prime from July 5th.
