Recently, several close associates of Lashkar's chief, Hafiz Saeed, have been assassinated in various Pakistani cities. Saeed himself narrowly escaped a suicide attack near his Lahore residence. During Operation Sindoor, Lashkar's headquarters in Muridke was targeted by the Indian Army and hit with missiles.
Consequently, Pakistani Army and ISI have sent directives to all India's most wanted terrorists, including Saeed's son Talha Saeed, to increase security and minimize movements.
Before Saifullah, another most wanted Indian terrorist, Abu Katal, who shadowed Hafiz Saeed, was also killed in Pakistan on March 16. Abu Katal was known as one of Lashkar's most notorious terrorists linked to major attacks against the Indian army in Kashmir.
Earlier, two other prominent and feared Lashkar terrorists and Hafiz Saeed’s close allies, Hanzala Adnan and Riyaz Ahmad alias Abu Qasim, were assassinated in Karachi in December 2023 and in September 2023 by unknown attackers, respectively. These killings are considered a significant blow to Hafiz Saeed.
