The Middle East is currently fraught with tension. Iran and Israel are in the midst of intense military confrontations. Amidst this, Yemen's Houthi rebels issued a stern warning on Saturday. They claim that if the United States supports Israel in any attacks on Iran, they will target U.S. ships sailing in the Red Sea.

It is worth noting that in May, an informal agreement was made between the United States and the Houthi rebels to avoid attacks. However, after Hamas attacked Israel in October 2023, prompting Israeli military operations in Gaza, Houthi rebels carried out attacks on ships linked to Israel in the Red Sea.

The confrontation between Iran and Israel has escalated dramatically. Israel claims to have struck Iran's nuclear facility and taken down a senior Iranian commander. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz reported that the attack resulted in the death of Said Ijadi, chief of the Quds Force's Palestine Corps, alleging his role in financially and militarily supporting Hamas, which triggered the Gaza conflict on October 7, 2023. According to Iranian state media Noor News, 430 individuals have died in Iran due to Israeli attacks, and over 3,500 have sustained injuries. Concurrently, in Israel, 24 civilians have lost their lives to Iranian missile strikes.

Five Revolutionary Guards Fall in Israeli Attacks

While Iranian media has confirmed the loss of five Revolutionary Guards in Israeli attacks in Khorramabad, they did not mention Ijadi. Ijadi was among those listed in the U.S. and U.K. sanctions. On Saturday morning, air raid sirens blared throughout central Israel and the West Bank, followed by the sound of explosions. Reports suggest Israel's air defense systems successfully intercepted several Iranian missiles mid-air, preventing casualties.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that it would take him two weeks to decide whether America should support Israel in this ongoing conflict. He asserted that Iran could be just weeks or months away from developing nuclear weapons, a situation the international community cannot allow. Meanwhile, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has verified that Israel attacked a centrifuge manufacturing unit at a major Iranian nuclear facility in Isfahan, though no radioactive material was present.

The Conflict Continues Since June 13

Since June 13, Israel has launched attacks on Iran under 'Operation Rising Lion,' claiming that Iran is approaching the capability to produce nuclear weapons. Iran, however, has denied these allegations, insisting that its nuclear program is strictly for peaceful purposes.
