Tragedy unfolds in Meerut as 8-year-old found dead, community in shock

An 8-year-old's lifeless body was discovered in Meerut, embedded within the foundations of an under-construction house. The child had been missing for 22 hours.

Meerut, Uttar Pradesh bore witness to a gruesome discovery when an 8-year-old's body was found buried in the foundations of an under-construction house. The child, identified as Bansi also known as Ram, had been strangled to death—a fact that worsened the blow for the grieving family and the community. While the reason behind the murder remains a mystery, the police assure that a thorough investigation is underway and the perpetrator’s arrest will soon follow. The body has since been taken for an autopsy, leaving the parents in a state of unbearable grief.

The TP Nagar police disclosed that the body was retrieved on Wednesday morning from a pit at the construction site in the child's village. There are speculations that the murderer hid the body after the crime. Bansi, affectionately known as Ram, had seemingly vanished on Tuesday night around 8 PM.

Following the parents' complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation. The body was later excavated from a pit next to a pillar at a construction plot near Maliana canal. The questions of who committed this heinous crime and why remain unanswered.

Police begin homicide investigation

SP City Ayush Vikram states that the police were informed on Wednesday morning about the burial of children in a nearby ground. The police responded immediately, recovering the bodies. The deceased has been identified as Bansi, alias Ram. To unravel this case, a team has been formed, and nearby CCTV footage is being examined. The authorities promise to reveal the details of the incident shortly.
