A significant reshuffle has occurred in Mayawati's political party, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), in Uttar Pradesh. The party now has two new National Coordinators. Akash Anand has been removed from all positions, replaced by his father, party General Secretary Anand Kumar, and Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Gautam.
Mayawati attributed Akash Anand's removal to his father-in-law, Ashok Siddharth.

What Did Mayawati Say?
Mayawati declared, "No one shall become the successor of the party during my lifetime." She shared insights about the dedication required for the party's interest, inspired by Kanshi Ram, the BSP's founder. "My relatives can work in the party just like anyone else," she continued, "but if they misuse my name to harm the party or the movement, they will be immediately expelled, as has happened in Punjab before."
In the Interest of the Party and Movement...
Following the footsteps of Kanshi Ram, Mayawati, as his staunch disciple and successor, removed Ashok Siddharth and Akash Anand from the party to protect its integrity. She stated, "Their actions, which have divided the party into factions throughout Uttar Pradesh and the country, are intolerable. This divisive behavior was evident even in their son's wedding."
Addressing Akash Anand's situation, Mayawati warned of the potential negative influence of Ashok Siddharth’s daughter, Akash's wife, suggesting the need for careful monitoring. "This has not seemed positive so far," she noted.

Mayawati concluded, "For the sake of the party and the movement, Akash Anand is now relieved of all responsibilities. The blame for this lies solely with Ashok Siddharth, whose actions have not only damaged the party but have also obstructed Akash Anand's political career."
