In the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey made a sarcastic comment about CM Yogi Adityanath's bulldozer actions. While speaking in the House, he said that your (Yogi's) guru, Digvijaynath, had a lot of love for us. Whenever we went to him, he spoke with great seriousness. Therefore, you too should show some seriousness towards us. However, it's not your fault; such behavior is typical at this age.
Mata Prasad Pandey, commenting on CM Yogi's stern demeanor, noted that it's all an effect of age. Whether you drive a bulldozer over someone or demolish a house, I don't blame you for it; it's just the nature of this age.
Upon hearing the Leader of Opposition's remarks, CM Yogi, Shivpal Yadav, and other legislators in the assembly burst into laughter. Even Mata Prasad couldn't stop himself from laughing. He further said that you (Yogi) have been our neighbor. In the early days, I used to visit the Gorakhnath temple (Math). Now, like Digvijaynath, you too should show some seriousness.
Apart from this, Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad criticized the Yogi government in the assembly on various issues such as corruption at the tehsil level and crime control. He also gave suggestions regarding the supplementary budget. He said that the government gives 1200 rupees for the uniforms of children in primary schools, which is insufficient and needs to be increased. The government has a lot of budgets that are yet to be spent.
Mata Prasad claimed that the Saryu project dates back to before 1977, but it hasn't been completed yet. Over 2,000 crore rupees have been spent on it so far. He also alleged that an atmosphere of fear prevails in UP. The government frequently claims that it has fixed the mafia and the goons, but this is not true. This needs to be reconsidered.
