The tragedy that unfolded in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, involving a woman and her three children came to light with unexpected revelations. According to the police, this was not an accident, as initially suspected, but a planned murder by the husband, Haripal Singh. After the incident, Haripal was found injured and has been arrested.
Sedation Before Murder
Bahadurgarh DCP Mayank Mishra revealed that Haripal Singh, a transporter from Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, sedated his family with sleeping pills. He then strangled them with a rope and used a sharp weapon to attack them. After committing the crime, he poured petrol on the bodies and set them ablaze, causing an explosion in the house.
How Was the Case Unveiled?
On Saturday evening, a blast occurred in a house located in Sector-9, Bahadurgarh, which led the fire department to extinguish the flames. Four dead bodies were found. Initially, the police believed the explosion was caused by an AC compressor blast, but further investigation revealed the truth.
Suicide Plan Foiled
Haripal also intended to end his own life and left behind a 12-page suicide note. However, he decided against suicide at the last moment. The police found this note at the crime scene.
Contents of the Suicide Note
In his note, Haripal accused his sister and brother-in-law of deceitfully transferring his property into their own names.
He also wrote,
'I tried my best to protect my children from them, which is why I rented a house under a fake identity in Bahadurgarh. I'm exhausted now, so I'm embracing death with my family.'
Victims of the Incident
The tragic event claimed the lives of a 38-year-old woman, her 11-year-old daughter, and two sons aged 17 and 9.
Following the tragedy, Haripal was apprehended by the police. A bottle of petrol and the suicide note were retrieved from the scene. The police are currently conducting an in-depth investigation into the entire case.
