Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, terming her recent statement as anti-national. He declared it was against the interests of the nation. The BSF is a matter of national pride, yet Mamata continuously opposes them.

Suvendu Adhikari claimed that ever since Amit Shah took on the role of Home Minister, smuggling incidents along the India-Bangladesh border have ceased, which is troubling Mamata. He remarked that it was the BSF that rescued people in Shamsherganj and Farakka on April 11 when the Bengal police completely failed.

Congress is leading in these areas, leading the TMC to orchestrate communal violence to sway Muslim votes in their favor.'
