Maharashtra Elections: MNS Releases Third List, Announces 13 Candidates

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has unveiled its third list of candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The party has announced 13 candidates in total. Among the chosen, Mangesh Patil from Amravati, Dinkar Patil from Nashik West, Narsingh Bhikane from Ahmadpur-Chakur, Abhijit Deshmukh from Parli, Sachin Shingra from Vikramgad, Vanita Kathure from Bhiwandi Rural, and Naresh Korda from Palghar have been given tickets.

Alongside these announcements, the party shows trust in Atmaram Pradhan from Shahada Assembly seat, Snehal Jadhav from Wadala, Pradeep Waghmare from Kurla, Sandeep Pachange from Ovla-Majivada, Suresh Chaudhary from Gondia, and Ashwin Jaiswal from Pusad.

MNS has fielded a candidate against Dhananjay Munde. Abhijit Deshmukh, nephew of former Parli Mayor NK Deshmukh and active in Parli politics for several years, is the MNS candidate.

It is noteworthy that MNS had announced 45 names in its first list of candidates, including party chief Raj Thackeray's son Amit Thackeray, contesting from their home region, Mahim Assembly area.

Earlier this week, an essential meeting was convened under the leadership of Raj Thackeray. During this meeting, reports from constituency observers were reviewed, and the list of candidates was curated. The key focus was on fielding strong candidates in constituencies with a higher probability of winning.

Before this MNS list, Wednesday saw Shiv Sena (UBT) releasing its first candidate list of 65 names. Aditya Thackeray will contest from Worli, while Rajan Vichare has received the ticket for the Thane seat. Surendranath Mane has been fielded from Ratnagiri. The Uddhav faction shows faith in Unmesh Patil from Chalisgaon, Vaishali Suryavanshi from Pachora, Siddharth Kharat from Mehkar, Nitin Deshmukh from Balapur, Gopal Datkar from Akola East, Siddharth Devle from Washim, Sunil Kharate from Badnera, and Vishal Barbate from Ramtek.
