The Mahayuti coalition in Maharashtra has surged to a resounding victory in the assembly elections, igniting a fierce race for the chief ministerial position. Amidst this frenzy, Eknath Shinde gathered Shiv Sena legislators at a Mumbai hotel, where he was unanimously chosen as the party leader.

Throughout the meeting, three significant proposals were passed. The first, presented by Gulabrao Patil, expressed gratitude to the electorate for their overwhelming support. Shamburaj Desai backed this motion. The second proposal, brought forth by Dada Bhuse, congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. The third, propelled by Uday Samant, saw Eknath Shinde as the leading figure for the party, with Pratap Sarnaik offering his endorsement. All motions carried unanimous approval.

During his address, Eknath Shinde acknowledged the trust placed by their valued sisters, asserting that they fulfilled their promises, including the discontinuation of the 1500-rupee payment and the commitment to provide 2100 rupees under the Ladki Behna scheme. Characterizing the election outcome as unexpected, he noted that everyone emerged victorious. Shinde emphasized the need to amplify their strength. Some legislators attributed their victory to Shinde's charisma, to which he responded that their work continues.

Shinde stressed the importance of steering clear of any statements that might damage the Mahayuti coalition. He commended and expressed gratitude for the efforts of the RSS. He urged newly elected legislators to maintain integrity with their constituencies and voters from day one, emphasizing active engagement in their areas rather than spending time solely in Mumbai. Acknowledging the powerful mandate, he exhorted respect and admiration for the public's support.
