A shocking incident of homicide has rocked Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. A man fatally attacked his wife and six-month-old daughter, then took his own life in the same room.
Police revealed that the 35-year-old man used an axe to commit the murders before hanging himself. This tragic event occurred on a Friday afternoon within the jurisdiction of the Hindoria police station in the village of Patna.
Hindoria police station in-charge Amit Gautam disclosed that Manoj Patel assassinated his wife Sonam Patel (25), and their six-month-old daughter with an axe. Patel later hanged himself in that room.
Officer Gautam added that the couple's other daughters, aged two and four, were playing outside at the time of the incident, while other family members were in different rooms. Patel was undergoing treatment for mental health issues, according to the police.
Following the murder-suicide, the police who arrived at the scene sent the bodies for a post-mortem and have commenced an investigation into the case.
