A new twist has emerged in the suicide case of an IIT-JEE aspirant in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Following a complaint from the deceased student's father, Hazratganj police will now question officials and classmates from the Chaitanya Institute. An FIR has been filed by the father of the deceased, Aditya Dubey, under the charge of incitement to suicide.
Aditya's father stated, 'Aditya was a bright student who could not have taken such an extreme step. Someone may have incited him to suicide or other matters; the police need to investigate.' Based on the father's complaint, the Hazratganj police will investigate the reasons behind Aditya's suicide, including questioning individuals from the Chaitanya Institute and other students preparing for the engineering entrance exam IIT-JEE with Aditya.
Incidentally, 17-year-old Aditya, living in Lucknow's Jankipuram, committed suicide last Saturday by jumping from the 8th floor of the Commerce House building in front of Charan Hotel. The student was preparing for JEE at the Chaitanya Institute in Hazratganj. It is currently unclear why the student took this step.
Following the incident, DCP Central Zone Raveena Tyagi informed that the guard of Commerce House building notified Hazratganj police that a young man had jumped off the building. Police rushed to the scene, and the injured youth was taken to Civil Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead. Police also checked nearby CCTV footage.
