Jaguar Land Rover has officially launched the new Defender Octa SUV in the country. With a stunning design paired with a powerful engine, its starting price is set at 25.9 million INR (ex-showroom). Additionally, customers can opt for the exclusive Defender Octa Edition One, available only in its inaugural production year, priced at 27.9 million INR (ex-showroom).
The Octa variant reigns supreme within the Defender family, celebrated for its unmatched power and performance. Available in a five-door '110' body style, Octa bookings began in July last year. Official sales have now commenced, with all first-batch units already sold out, prompting new buyers to await their turn.

Weighing in at 2.5 tons, this SUV features an enhanced approach and departure angle, a longer ride height, wider stance, extended wheel arches, a new grill, and quad-tip exhaust. Offered with wheel sizes ranging from 20 to 22 inches, these elements refine its side profile. The signature graphic panel showcases a diamond-graphic surrounded by a gloss black diamond within machined and sandblasted titanium discs.

The Defender Octa boasts two special color options with a metallic finish. The color palette includes Petra Copper and Faro Green, Carpathian Grey with Charente Grey, alongside gloss Narvik Black with a contrasting roof and tailgate. The new Defender Octa is equipped with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine, producing 620 BHP and 800Nm of torque. This powerhouse is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Astonishingly, this SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in merely 4 seconds.
With features like 6D dynamic suspension and a heavily reengineered chassis, it's designed with the most prominent tires specially developed for SUVs. Compared to a regular Defender, the Octa is 68mm wider and 28mm taller, with an impressive water wading capacity of 1 meter, outmatching previous Defenders by 100mm. It also boasts a 323mm ground clearance.
