The uncle of the Kolkata rape-murder victim described his horror upon witnessing the incident. He was in shock for half an hour. He mentioned that she was always a good student and lived like a typical Indian lady.

CBI and SIT are investigating the Kolkata rape-murder case. Multiple aspects related to the case are being examined. Meanwhile, Aaj Tak spoke to the victim's uncle to understand more about the girl who tried to lift her family out of poverty and provide them with a better life.

The victim's uncle mentioned that everyone addressed her as 'Doctor sahab'. He said she was highly regarded by everyone. She had a passion for reading and writing since childhood. She loved gardening and pets, though she did not have her own, she kept a dog with her.

'She excelled in studies and achieved good results'

The uncle said that she had a traditional nature and thought like an Indian lady. Nobody ever questioned her dressing style. She was always a good student and brought good results. Despite coming from a poor background, her family gave her a good upbringing.

The uncle expressed that he never imagined something like this would happen, that such news would come. Witnessing the incident gave them chills. He was in shock for half an hour. He further stated that he himself is a father to a girl, and the victim was only a year or two older than his daughter. She used to participate in Durga Puja celebrations.

The uncle added that there are demands for justice all over the world for her. He said the demands for justice are coming from Bangladesh and Pakistan as well. This is not just the voice of her parents; it's the voice of people around the world demanding justice for her.
