Mithun expressed his condolences and condemned the incident as very disgraceful. According to him, the situation in the state is likely to worsen soon. He said, "I have said it many times at many places that the situation in West Bengal will become very dire in the coming days. Being Bengali, I can't walk with my head held high."

Shatrughan's Request

Shatrughan Sinha has expressed concern over the incident. In his X post, he wrote—Doctors taking to the streets is not the best solution. The government and society should heed to the demands put forth by the doctors. However, a humble request to those doctors on the streets is to consider that their actions could adversely affect the poor and needy, who require urgent care. This could further victimize them.

Previously, Alia Bhatt had also questioned rising crime rates in the country. Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana recited a poem expressing worry over the birth of a daughter. Many actors like Twinkle Khanna, Kangana Ranaut, Kareena Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Preity Zinta, Richa Chadha, and Swara Bhasker have demanded immediate action and punishment for the accused.
