Members of the opposition India Block have submitted a notice of a no-confidence motion in the Rajya Sabha against Vice President and ex-officio Chairman, Jagdeep Dhankhar, to remove him from his post. In response to this motion, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju vehemently criticized the opposition. He stated, ‘Today, I stand here with a heavy heart. After 72 years of Indian democracy, a farmer's son has risen to the position of Vice President, serving the nation. The whole country has witnessed how the Vice President has upheld the dignity of the house.’
Criticizing the opposition, he remarked, ‘You are not deserving of being members of this house. You (opposition members) make allegations and disrespectful comments outside the house against a farmer's son who is the Chairman. Kiren Rijiju asserted that the opposition neither respects the dignity of the house nor the chair. He emphasized, ‘We have sworn to uphold the integrity and sovereignty of this country and will not let your intentions succeed.’

Kiren Rijiju condemned the no-confidence motion against the Rajya Sabha Chairman. He stated, ‘We are not linking Sonia Gandhi and Soros; the world says it. You remain in sync with those working against India. You stand with anti-India forces and give notices against the Chairman.’ He praised Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, noting, ‘A Chairman like this is hard to come by. Even while in office and outside, Dhankhar Ji has spoken for farmers.’

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister expressed pride in Jagdeep Dhankhar serving as the Chairman. ‘If you continue to serve notices, we will not tolerate it. The relationship between Sonia Gandhi and Soros should be addressed, and Congress should apologize.’ While the Parliamentary Affairs Minister was speaking in the Rajya Sabha, opposition members were shouting slogans to let the house function. Following Kiren Rijiju's statement, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda also criticized the opposition’s actions. Subsequently, the proceedings of the house were adjourned until noon.
