A recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, has enraged the entire nation. There are rising demands for the Modi government to hunt down the terrorists and deliver severe punishment. Following the attack, India has made several crucial decisions, including suspending the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 with Pakistan. Standing firm against Pakistan, India has implemented five significant steps so far. These include closing India's embassy in Pakistan, sealing the Attari Border, and ordering Pakistani diplomats to leave the country within 48 hours. Additionally, the 65-year-old Indus Water Treaty has been put on hold.
Meanwhile, Khan Sir, a well-known teacher on social media, has a viral suggestion to teach Pakistan a stringent lesson. He believes a dual strategy can be employed against Pakistan. According to him, merely suspending the Indus Waters Treaty or conducting surgical strikes won't work; instead, it is crucial to strategically encircle Pakistan until they feel cornered.
Khan Sir explained on his YouTube channel that suspending the Indus Waters Treaty or conducting surgical strikes is not a solution. He further elaborated that we let 80% of the Indus river system water flow into Pakistan. Suspending this agreement won't make a substantial difference, as it remains unclear what we would do with the excess water.
Khan Sir's suggestion to resolve this issue is to build a new dam. He pointed out that while the treaty is suspended, a new dam should be constructed. All the water should be stopped during the summer to leave Pakistan dry by the rainy season. Once the dam fills up, it should be opened, causing floods in Pakistan. At the end of the video clip, he humorously remarks that this would lead to meeting 'Uncle Raheem' in the Arabian Sea.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the ongoing operations and the current situation in Pahalgam. Before this, the Defense Minister arrived at South Block, where the Army Chief briefed him about military operations.
After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Prime Minister Modi's stance has been noticeably severe. Around the world, there is speculation that India is planning a major move to decisively counter the terrorists. From Delhi to the borders, security has been tightened and a high alert has been issued.
