Kerala's Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday launched a fierce attack on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, questioning his and his party's silence on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). This was a counter-attack from CM Vijayan to Gandhi who earlier remarked, 'The Kerala CM constantly talks only about me.'

Addressing a massive election rally at Palakkad, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan questioned, “Why are Congress, and specifically Rahul Gandhi, silent on CAA? Congress must admit that they stand with the RSS on the CAA issue.

The Chief Minister responded to Gandhi's statement, emphasizing the constant criticism he faces from him. During the rally in Palakkad, CM Vijayan remarked that Rahul Gandhi’s major complaint that the discussions in Kerala revolve only around him. CM questioned, "We talk about you in the context of CAA. Do you have an opinion on the CAA?" He also pointed out that Gandhi undertook a journey and yet did not mention CAA.

Vijayan criticized, 'Rahul Gandhi has a major grievance that in Kerala, we only speak about him. What we’ve stated about you is this – you carried out a journey, isn’t it? During this journey, you covered a range of national and international issues. Did you speak about this matter (CAA)? Do you have an opinion on the CAA? Why haven't you shared your view? Leave it, people hoped that you would speak about it during the conclusion of the program, but that didn’t happen. The last hope was that you would address it when filing your nomination in Wayanad. But you remained silent. What is holding you back?
