Amidst ongoing India-Pakistan tensions, Noman Ilahi (24), a resident of Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested by the police. Noman is accused of spying for Pakistan. He was arrested in Panipat, Haryana, where he worked as a security guard in a factory. Recently, police brought him to Kairana in Shamli district. During this period, they also interrogated a public service center operator regarding money transfers.

It is reported that Noman Ilahi from Kairana was allegedly involved in espionage for Pakistan while in Panipat. He provided military intelligence to Pakistani handlers. During the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the intelligence agencies investigated the matter. During this time, a phone number was traced, which was continuously in contact with Pakistan. Calls were being made to Pakistan from this number, leading to Noman's arrest.
The investigation revealed that accused Noman Ilahi was involved in spying for Pakistan, and illicit money transactions were traced to his account through Hawala. He was in contact with terrorist Iqbal Kana in Pakistan and was sending sensitive intelligence through social media.
According to information, Noman Ilahi's parents passed away five years ago. He relocated to Panipat to live with his sister four months ago. His connection to terrorists was exposed through his mobile phone. Currently, his house in Kairana remains locked, while his two brothers reside in Delhi working in the garment business.

Notably, terrorist Iqbal Kana also has roots in Kairana. Once known for running a banana stall with his father in Kairana, he later started processing passports and visas, helping people obtain Pakistani visas. Gradually, he got involved in smuggling, leading him and his family to Pakistan post-1995. Over there, he engaged in conspiracy activities against India as a terrorist.
On the other hand, after Noman's arrest, his sister in Panipat is in shock and disbelief about her brother's involvement in anti-national activities.
