UP News:

The serene atmosphere at Jhansi's Babina police station was abruptly shattered when a young woman's persistent plea to accompany her boyfriend led to her father unexpectedly collapsing. Initially, the police suspected poison consumption, rushing him to a community health center. As the situation seemed dire, he was transferred to a medical college, where tests disproved any poisoning, much to the police's relief.

The story begins with a 22-year-old woman from Murari village who had grown close to a young man named Golu Bhargav six years ago, a friendship that blossomed into love. She mentioned that Golu is a constable with the 37th PAC Battalion in Kanpur. The couple desired marriage, but her family disapproved. For over a year, she endeavored to convince them, but to no avail.

Her confession revealed that her family arranged her marriage to a forest department employee, and her engagement was set for December 3rd. However, unwavering in her love for Golu, she devised a plan and left home the next day to meet him. Together, they left for a new life.

Their journey took them to Prayagraj, where they tied the knot in a Hindu temple on December 5th. Subsequently, they sought protection through a petition in the High Court.

Meanwhile, the girl's father lodged a complaint on December 6th, accusing the constable of abducting his daughter with intent to murder. The police commenced their investigation, and on December 8th, Golu assured the Babina police station in-charge, Tulsiram Pandey, via a video call that the woman was safe. This prompted the police to summon both parties.

Both Golu and the woman arrived at the police station, ready to defend their marriage with video and legal documents, asserting their adulthood. Her family, on the other hand, arrived hoping to take her back home, though she remained resolute in her decision to stay with Golu, sparking a heated hour-long debate.

The father's health abruptly declined amidst the chaos, with a sibling alleging poison consumption, escalating the disorder. The police swiftly transported him to the health center, then referred him to a medical college. There, tests confirmed there was no poison ingestion.

In addressing the matter, Babina police station in-charge Tulsiram Pandey stated that the father had a blood pressure issue, explaining his health scare. His condition is now stable. Meanwhile, his daughter has married the constable and, being of legal age, has left of her own accord.
