The difficulties in the sex scandal case involving the former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda's legislator son HD Revanna (67) and parliamentarian grandson Prajwal Revanna (33) are mounting. An FIR has been filed against both based on their maid's complaint alleging sexual exploitation. Now, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has sent notices to both suspects, summoning them for interrogation. Meanwhile, Prajwal Revanna, who has fled overseas, has posted online stating he is not in Bengaluru.

Prajwal posts a letter

In an online post, Prajwal mentions, 'I am not in Bengaluru for the inquiry, and so, through my lawyer, I have informed CID Bengaluru. The triumph of truth is imminent.' JDS has suspended Prajwal, who has fled overseas prior to the FIR.

Representing Prajwal, his lawyer has stated that Prajwal Revanna is out of Bengaluru and requires a seven-day period to return and present himself for the inquiry as per the notice.

HD Revanna says ready to face SIT

While Prajwal Revanna has fled abroad, his father HD Revanna shows readiness to confront the inquiry about the 'obscene video' case. The JDS leader said in a media interaction, "The SIT has issued me a notice. I am ready to face the SIT."

It is worth noting that both HD Revanna and Prajwal Revanna are accused based on their maid's complaint of sexual exploitation. The SIT is continuing the investigation, having sent notices to both and called them for an interview. Previously, JDS suspended Prajwal, who has already absconded overseas before the FIR could be served.
