In a shocking turn of events, eight individuals were wounded in a stabbing at a tire factory in Japan. Moreover, seven others suffered injuries from what appeared to be bleach. Following the attack at Yokohama Rubber Company's facility in Mishima, Shizuoka Prefecture, west of Tokyo, eight victims were swiftly transported to the hospital, reported the Fujisan Nanto Fire Department.
The fire department conveyed to the Associated Press that the condition of five stab victims is critical, though further details remain scarce.

Shizuoka Prefectural Police stated that the attacker, a 38-year-old male, has been apprehended on charges of attempted murder, though additional specifics were not disclosed.
According to investigative sources cited by Asahi, a prominent Japanese newspaper, the suspect was armed with a survival knife and donned something resembling a gas mask.
