Israeli citizen Dor Goldstein appeals to the Indian government for shared custody of his two daughters. Born to Russian woman Nina, the daughters and their mother were recently found living in a Karnataka cave. Goldstein warns that sending the daughters to Russia would sever his contact with them.
Goldstein recounts meeting Nina in India in 2017, staying with her for about seven months, and later moving to Ukraine, during which they had two daughters. He says, "Since our first daughter's birth, I have been financially supporting monthly and visiting India regularly. Over the past three years, I've spent at least six months annually in India."
Relationship with Nina Ended - Goldstein
Goldstein clarifies that he and Nina are no longer a couple and states, "I don't wish to live with Nina anymore, but I am eager to be part of my daughters' lives actively. Although Nina has two sons from a former relationship, my priority remains my daughters."
Request for Indian Citizenship for Younger Daughter
Highlighting his younger daughter's birth in India and her five-year residence, Goldstein asserts, "My younger daughter was born here and has lived here for five years. She should qualify for Indian citizenship and mustn't be sent abroad."
Dor Goldstein pleads with Indian authorities to grant the girls permission to stay in India and allow shared custody, so he can fulfill his role as a father.
